离合器，顾名思意，就是起到分离与合闭
的作用嘛。也就是起到发动机与车轮传动装 置的离合作用。也就是说当你踩下离合器，那么发动机的传动装置与车轮断开，发动机的动力就不会传到车轮上以驱动汽车了。
当你松开离合器，那么发动机的传动装置就会与车轮连上，动力就传到车轮上，车子自然就能动了。
离合概念明白了吧？
那么为什么要把动力与车轮分离呢？因为不同的车速发动机要进行变速，这个问题比较复杂，我就不祥细说了，总之是不同的车速发动机的传动装置要把不同的速度传给车轮，耍此时就需要把慢速的齿轮与车轮分开，用高速齿轮与车轮接合，这一分一合就要用到离合器了。
明白了离合器的工作原理，那么来结合实际。当你的车在起步时，车轮是静止的，要想让车在静止状态改为运动状态，这时需要的推力是很大的，比车在运动时大的多，此时踩下离合器，挂一档，看看发生了什么？当你踩下离合器，即做好了用齿轮驱动车轮的准备，挂上一档，就是把慢速齿轮送到传动装置上，当你松离合器时，慢速齿轮就向车轮的传动齿轮上靠，你抬的快，它靠的快，你抬的慢，它靠的慢，这时车就起步了。
如果你离合器抬的很快，那么两个齿轮就立即接合了，由于车是静止的，需要的推力很大，发动机输出的动力不足以一下使车达到一档时的速度，那么车就会突然一动，然后熄火。车一动就明发动机的动力已经传到了车轮上，但由于要克服的力大于发动机所输出的了，也就是发动机推不动你的车，于是齿轮就被卡住，发动机就熄火了。
所以这就是为什么起步时要加油门，抬离合器要慢的原理。
加油门可以加大发动机输出的动力，抬离合器慢就会减小阻力，从而使发动机克服静态磨擦力，使车辆平稳起步。当车动起来后，离合器就可以慢慢的完全抬起，因为车动后，动态磨擦力比车静止时的静态磨擦力要小得多。这也是为什么在二、三、四档时离合器可以抬的快一点而不会熄火的原因。
同样，小坡起步时要加大油门，离合要拧牢也是这个原因，因为上坡的阻力比平面更大。
好了，现在大家明白为什么要加油门慢台离合了吧？学车时好好体会一下，就能事半功倍了。
